Swedish Massage
Swedish massage uses oils, lotion, essential oils, or a combination. Long, flowing connective strokes and kneading promote muscle relaxation, circulation, and detoxification. By the end of the session, the client will feel physically and mentally relaxed. The client is covered at all times; as the therapist works, she/he will uncover only the area being worked on.
Deep Tissue Massage
Deep Tissue massage is a technique that focuses on the deeper layers of muscle tissue. It aims to release chronic body tension patterns through slow strokes and deep pressure on the contracted areas. This is done by following and going across the muscle fibers, tendons, and fascia.
When muscles are stressed, they block oxygen and nutrients, leading to inflammation that builds up toxins in the muscle tissue. A Deep Tissue massage helps loosen muscle tissues, releasing toxins from the muscles and restoring proper blood and oxygen circulation. Because many toxins are released, drinking plenty of water after a Deep Tissue session is important to help eliminate these toxins from the body.
Cranial-Sacral Massage
Cranial-sacral is healing bodywork that utilizes very subtle movements of cranial sutures, spinal, and sacral vertebrae. This is done to restore circulation to the eyes and ears, enhance sensory perception, and relieve headaches and pelvic imbalances. This therapy is usually combined with the other therapies.
Footbone Therapy
Footbone Therapy releases chronically held tension and misalignment in the feet, tendons, and ligaments. Techniques promote structural balance of the foot bones and the entire skeletal structure.
This therapy is usually combined with the other therapies.
Vibrational Healing Massage Therapy
VHMT is fun and creates tangible healing results. It is a clothes-on therapy and is usually done without oils. Techniques used during a VHMT session include sensitive stretching and compressing, movement, kneading, and shaking to locate solidity and align, loosen, and connect the body. Held tension solidifies the body. When tension releases, solidity breaks up, and vibrations pulse through the body. Tensions reverberating out of the body take with them past emotional and structural trauma.
This Therapy blends subtle energy healing (Energy Work), deep structural alignment, and the power of intention to clear pain and emotional stress.
The more I work with a client and trust develops, the more VHMT can trigger the release of long-held mental, emotional, and physical tensions in the body. Clients have experienced deep relaxation, connection, insight, spiritual oneness, physical alignment, and an increased receptivity to therapeutic touch with this therapy.
